About us

Founded in 2024, Iqbal Begum is a micro concept store tucked inside Gali Surjan Singh by Delhi Gate. Dedicated to the memory of founder and art director Hashim Ali’s grandmother, Mrs. Iqbal Chaudhry, the shop is both a tribute and an invitation.

The space itself is part of a historic building that once served as a storage site for spices traded by merchants of the Walled City. After years of neglect, it was carefully cleaned and transformed into the shop.

Today, it holds a collection of unique, handcrafted, one-of-a-kind products created in collaboration with artists and creatives from across Pakistan. For Hashim, the space evokes the presence of a grandparent we slowly forget to visit. With Iqbal Begum, he hopes to remind people to return to Lahore as one returns to a beloved elder: to sit,to listen, and to remember.
